Laura Dern is the daughter of 'Diane Ladd' and 'Bruce Dern'. She began acting as a child in bit parts of her parents movies. She received a Best Actress nomination for her role in "Rambling Rose" and her mother, a Best Supporting Actress Nomination - the first time a mother-daughter team had been so honored. Dern starred in the blockbuster "Jurassic Park" and continues a very active career. She was engaged to 'Billy Bob Thornton' of "Sling Blade" fame.
