Gabriel's career was launched with a collective of fellow classmates who eventually made up the
core of the band "Genesis". Gabriel became the lead singer and "Genesis" rose to worldwide
prominence. In 1975, Gabriel withdrew from the band to pursue a solo career. His award-winning
music video, the single "Sledgehammer" was a smash hit. Although it has been years since his last
studio album, Gabriel devotes much of his time and resources to global humanitarian issues.
