Teri began studying acting at the "American Conservatory Theatre" while working on a degree in mathematics and engineering at De Anza College in Cupertino, California. She eventually left college to concentrate on an acting career. After appearing in print ads and tv commercials, she had a recurring role on "MacGyver", but really caught the public eye in an episode of "Seinfeld" After small roles in several movies, she became a star playing Lois Lane in the long-running series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman on ABC. She has gone on to make feature films such as Heaven's Prisoners, 2 Days in the Valley and Tomorrow Never Dies, and is on a winning streak with her career. She is married to her second husband, actor Jon Tenney. The couple have one child, Emerson Rose, and live in California.
