More Thanksgiving Fun


INGREDIENTS

9 inch pie shell
1 cup walnut halves
2/3 cup pecan halves
1/2 cup whole hazelnuts
1/2 cup whole almonds
4 large eggs
1 cup light corn syrup
3/4 cup sugar
1 Tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt



DIRECTIONS

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Set aside 9 walnuts halves, 18 pecan halves, 9 hazelnuts and 18 almonds to garnish the top of the pie. In a food processor or blender, combine the rest of the nuts with the eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter. vanilla and salt. Mix until well blended. Pour the mixture into the pie shell and make a nice design with the nuts you've saved for garnish. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until the center is set. Cool to room temperature before serving. Refrigerate any leftovers.
